Dirty Hoe Landscaping

Dirty Hoe Landscaping 1388 Alabama St San Francisco CA (415) 282-1058

At Dirty Hoe Landscaping we believe in the development and care of healthy landscapes that bring the natural world closer to home, that the garden should be a refuge from the outside world, and that it should represent the taste and needs of you, the homeowner. We believe that there are no end points in the garden, that the garden should change as your taste and needs change. Mostly, we believe that the garden should be your favorite room in your house. In keeping with that focus we are guided by the following principles: All good relationships are built on dependability and trust. As our client you can expect us to be on time, provide the services we promise and bill timely and accurately for services rendered. We believe that gardeners should be seen and not heard. To reduce urban air and noise pollution we use quality hand tools rather than gas powered machinery. This means reel mowers over power mowers, hand shears over electric or gas powered and the rake and broom over leaf blowers. We believe in working with the seasons, planting, pruning, mulching and feeding when it best serves the needs of the garden not our time schedules. Though fully licensed pesticide applicators we believe in the principle of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), that the use of cultural and botanical controls are preferable to the use of chemicals and that where needed, pesticides should be organic and low toxicity.
We believe in a motivated, educated and legal work force. All our members have extensive schooling and training in different areas of horticulture and are eager to demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
