Larry Dyer originally hitch hiked from his hometown of Washington D.C. to San Francisco to study film making at the San Francisco Art Institute. He worked in Hollywood first as a motor home driver to the stars and later as a clapper loader, focus puller and camera operator. Larry worked with such directors as Robert Altman and John Schlesinger on projects as diverse as the Falcon and the Snowman, Unsolved Mysteries and Friday the 13th IV. He banged slates in the face of both Muhammad Ali and the original Incredible Hulk.
Larry returned to San Francisco to escape his well documented Hollywood scandals and to open a photography studio where he has produced award winning fine art, commercial and editorial photography. He began photographing weddings in 1997. Larry has photographed a wide range of weddings from wine country weddings with budgets of hundreds of thousand of dollars to his donation of work for couples getting married at The Salvation Army. He also does the ones in between.
