A wedding day encompasses much more than the commitment between bride and groom. It is a complex blending of families and histories. The emotions shared by all who participate in the wedding ritual are compelling. I am fascinated by the intricacies of love.
I have photographed over 500 weddings in the past thirteen years. These numerous experiences have sharpened my instinct to portray the truth of intimacy. I have an intense curiosity about the human condition and feel fortunate to have found a career that is my natural calling. It is a privilege to interpret a love story through photography.
I feel responsible for the memories of a wedding day. My approach is one of well planned spontaneity. Beginning before the wedding day, I work carefully with a client to establish a shooting schedule and together we create a comprehensive shot list. On the wedding day I bring a sense of calm and control to your event, made possible by years of photographing weddings. After the wedding, I create incredible custom albums - the perfect archival showcase for your images.
I photograph primarily using the available light, even in the nighttime hours. The ability to sculpt and direct this natural source through every season is vital to my work. I feel there is a direct connection between the uncontrived backdrop and the photograph, that interprets the true essence of a subject.
My ulitmate goal is to create an heirloom, a visual document that will be valued now and by generations to come.
