Walking down Geary Blvd one afternoon, I noticed a small storefront with a delightful display of hats and antiques. I went back - with my video camera - to learn more about the story behind Paul's Hat Works, and the wonderfully creative hatmakers - 4 women who go by the name of "Paul" .

Traditional Custom Felt and Straw Hats since 1918. Handmade by four ladies in their shop in the Richmond District of San Francisco.
We do things the old-fashioned way, from meeting every customer in person to using tools and methods that are over a hundred years old. However we can work with you over the telephone and email to plan your custom hat.
