We are San Francisco’s sweet destination serving a fresh, seasonal menu of truly unique desserts made with organic dairy and locally-sourced ingredients. Sixth Course is exclusively a dessert shop specializing in small-batch production of handmade truffles, French style pastries, and gelato made in-house. Our menu is showcased in three stunning cases. You'll find award-winning chocolates, creative individual entremet cakes, tarts, fresh panna cotta, and rich pots-de-creme. The frozen case features hand-dipped gelato pops, sorbettos, semifreddos, and our made-to-order gelato paninis. We always make gluten-free and dairy-free options, and only use sustainable and compostable to-go packaging.
In October of 2014, we opened our doors in the vibrant Mission district. After many years working together in the Bay Area's finest kitchens and luxury five-star hotels, we designed a space to showcase and share our love for pastry. The name was inspired by an old family cookbook that belonged to Bridget’s grandmother. It indicates the sixth course as dessert in a seven course menu, and the company logo of circles represents that place setting.
The showroom features truffle-inspired lights, sea glass tile, and elegant cases displaying a trifecta of sweets. The state of the art kitchen includes two tempering machines, a clean room for pasteurizing, and all of the essential accoutrements.
