Whether in the studio, a park, beach or your home I try to keep my portrait photography style relaxed and comfortable, because what I want to capture is something beyond just a pretty picture. What I’m looking for is a little deeper and timeless. While I do like to have subjects posed in scenic settings or the studio, I gravitate towards the moments in between poses. One of my favorite things to do in a session is to get creative with close ups and abstracts which I feel reflect the essence of a subject. The the tail of a dog, the nose of a cat, the eyes of a horse.
Tonya is awesome at getting wonderful moments and putting them on paper/canvas for all time!

Tonya captured my senior retired racing Greyhound's personality perfectly. When I saw the photos for the first time, I burst in to tears because they were so beautiful. Working with her was a delight.
