I moved to the East Bay in October, and had a few situations arise that required Gryphon, my Service Dog, to stay overnight. My daughter was in labor in San Francisco, so I stayed at the hospital for four days. I'd already had a great experience taking Gryphon in to Barka Lounge for grooming and play time, and he was so happy when I picked him up. He LOVED his time there. This made the decision to board him overnight much easier. Then, I was working the polls during the election, and needed to be there at 5:30 am. So, I once again took Gryphon into Barka Lounge, and once again they treated him like a king. More important to me than how well they treated him was the fact that they remembered to give him his medications, and prepared his food exactly as required. This may seem like something I should expect, but I have had Gryphon boarded at other facilities, and they couldn't even keep track of his leash, let alone feed him right. As a disabled person, with a Service Dog, it is critical that he be cared for in an exceptional way so that he can continue working. I can always count on the staff at Barka Lounge to do whatever it takes to care for my little man. Thanks to all!
