I have been a guest and/or bridesmaid at four weddings performed by Irv Spivak over the course of 12 years, two of which were in the past two years. He really does know how to make every guest at the wedding feel welcome, takes the time to really get to know the couples he's marrying, and has an amazing ability to elicit both giggles and tears of joy from those of us in attendance! My only regret is that I was already married by the time I found out that Irv is an officiant! If my husband and I ever renew our vows, you can bet we'll beg Irv to officiate!

I LOVE this gallery! It's an artist-run cooperative, with the artists taking turns working in the gallery...so everyone is friendly when you walk in, they have great opening parties on the first Friday of each month with lots of free hors d'oevres and wine, and the value of the art here is great! I've purchased six paintings here over the past few years, and continue to be happy with them hanging on the walls of my home, making my house more cheerful!

This extraordinarily welcoming theatre serves many communities, and serves them well! Whether it's the LGBTQ community, the Jewish one, or any of the many others represented by the numerous film festivals here, the staff and employees of the Castro Theatre work hard to make everyone feel welcomed and well-attended-to. As someone who uses a mobility device, I appreciate that there is wheelchair-access to the front doors, plenty of wheelchair seating, and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. These are important things!
