If you find yourself anywhere near Redwood City, I highly recommend you make a side-trip to Sigona's Farmers Market. (It's just across the street from Costco on Middlefield.) We just got back from a spontaneous side-trip to Sigona's. I haven't been there in a long time, and boy has it changed! They've got the same excellent quality produce as ever--easily as good as Whole Foods'. The additions that stood out were a wall of every kind of nut you would ever need (five kinds of cashews, etc.) and an aisle of fresh-pressed flavored oils--both of which put Whole Foods to shame. A guy who we think is one of the owners sold us on some fantastic root beer from a local brewery--you buy the jug, they fill it on the spot. The brewery is practically next-door, so I need to make a trip to Belmont for good beer some time soon.
