I've been going to Melo's in Pleasant Hill for years, so when I heard one was opening near my work in Livermore, I was ecstatic. I was able to try the new restaurant in its second week of operation and I've been back at least once a week (usually twice!) ever since for lunches and dinners, if I'm working late. The food hits the spot every time. Both the pizzas and the pastas are delicious. The only problem is deciding which to have - sometimes I order both and take the leftovers back home for my family. The prices are very reasonable and you definitely get your money's worth of food. The atmosphere is great as well. It is unassuming and relaxed with a friendly waitstaff. The owners are always there and take time to visit tables to ask how everything's going. I also like the fact that there are flat screen TV's to watch games, but they're not overbearing and intrusive like at some other pizza places I've been to. In other words, you can watch the game, but you don't have to watch the game. So, all in all, a very solid 5 stars for Melo's Pizza!
