Known for their Cabs, but there is excellence in many varieties. The 2011 Cab Reserve is a gold medal winner and I've already put a case away. The Good Life Cab is being released in Feb. and it's a wine you won't want to miss. I'm not a white wine enthusiast for the most part, but I love their Sav. Blanc and their Chard. Great crispness is the Sav. Blanc and a beautiful wine to accompany a light meal, truly refreshing. And the Chard has good butter and a soft finish on your pallet. The 2009 Merlot is big, bold and full of Cherry, Berry and fruit. It will go great with a rib eye. and the Proprietory Red is a wonderful blend of Merlot and Cabernet aht is awesome and excellent for the price point. Great views at McGrail, wonderful and helpful staff and wines you will be happy you tasted. Take a picnic, buy the wine of your choice and enjoy the view from their patio and if you're up for it, take advantage of one of the two new Bocce courts that were installed in the last year. A winery Not to be missed.
