I am a professional dog walker and dog boarder, and these days I send my clients to Hayley at Paws and Claws because she is very gentle and loving with the dogs and gives great cuts and other services.
I also appreciate that Paws and Claws has set it up so that clients drop off their dogs in the morning and pick them up an hour or so later--the dogs aren't stuck in cages all day in a room with loud blowers and stressed-out pups all around them.
I have brought my dog, Twyla, a husky mutt (shedding machine,) to Hayley for grooming, and the other clients I can think of at the moment include two rhodesian ridgebacks, an English bulldog, an English mastiff, a poodle/Jack Russell Terrier, a shih-tzu, and a Wheaten terrier. My clients all love Hayley and her grooming "results."
Go, Hayley, you are wonderful! :-)
What a wonderful trainer. Jennifer is beyond devote to both her human and canine clients (in fact, that reminds me, "Take a vacation, Jennifer!"). She has saved many dogs from having to be surrendered to the pound by training their humans how to stimulate their dogs mentally and physically and how to reinforce dogs' good behavior and discourage bad behavior (by ignoring it and giving the dog something desired to do and rewarding that). She uses all positive training methods. I wouldn't send my dog anywhere else.
Thanks for everything, Jen. I hope you get this prize--you so deserve it! :-)
In these challenging times it seems to "take a village" to keep a small independent business going. Heather, the owner of Creative Framing, recently helped my small dog walking and boarding business by doing a beautiful job of framing two awards we've gotten from local magazines.
I went in the door with the idea of just mounting them on foam core board, but after a talk with Heather about what these awards actually mean to me and my business, I decided to follow her advice to upgrade the job. She used a color core mat that matched the colors in the awards and a dark chocolate wood frame that's clean and contemporary and will match any interior. Pet care professionals don't make a lot of money, so I was happy it was clear I was getting an excellent value--it made it easier for me to make the choice that would make me happier in the long run. She paid my parking while I was in her shop and also gave me some tokens for $10 off my next framing job. What a doll.
She was absolutely right. Now the awards are in my hallway and several customers have stopped to read them in the weeks they've been up--something they're more likely to do since they are highlighted in such a gorgeous way. I am so glad I listened to Heather's advice. She has great taste and was so kind to me. Creative Framing is definitely my frame shop of choice now.
