Everyone needs their place to go when you want a great meal out that is hassle free. Bistro Liaison is that for us, walking distance, with great food. This part of Berkeley has many excellent places. For those who need to park there are two near by lots for our friends. The food is beyond excellent great French style "home cooking" served by a caring staff. Starting with the French onion soup or the Saut?ed sweetbreads is a great way to go, it takes us back to our favorite little restaurant in the 5th, in Paris, skillfully executed and presented. The Roast leg of Niman Ranch Lamb, has been one of my favorites from early on, the Bouillabaise on these chilly nights is simple and delicious, then top it off with a "lava cake, or their walnut cake, makes for a relaxing meal. They always have something for our vegetarian friends that they always like and is above the common "after thoughts" too often dished up.
knowledgeable staff, unlike the "big national chains" that take the time to assure that what you are about to do will be accomplished like you want it, without two more trips back to the store. They like to see you come back, but only one trip per project appears to be their goal when they help you with it!
