We used them for our remodel a couple of years ago. Lawrence spent an incredible amount of time with us to get things "just right". He followed up, and when something came in incomplete he traced and made sure we had what we needed to meet our install dates. While we used them for fixtures, they also have a nice selection of cabinet hardware, sinks, toilets, etc... and are extremely knowledgeable.
The wine list is great - but that's to be expected given the adjoining wine store. The waiters and wine shops knowledge of the wines, is wonderful. They've helped us successfully pair wine with meals more than once. Peter Chastain (part owner & chef) learned to make gnocchi from the Vietti family in Piedmonte. I had the pleasure of having it sauced with an amazing rabbit ragu just the other night. Light as can be and soooo good. One really nice opportunity is to do a "Chef's table" for up to 6 people. You need to let them know when you make the reservation, and the chef will come to your table, find out what you like, don't like, what you're drinking, and design a special menu just for your table. We haven't done it yet, but plan on taking in a special bottle of wine we have and trying it sometime soon. They also do some amazing wine and food events with the winemakers. Very nicely done, sometimes with older vintages you don't normally have the opportunity to try otherwise. Highly recommended.
You may need reservations - the food here is great, and the locals love it. The fish is fresh, and the menu changes based upon availability. If you would like something done a bit differently, just ask. They are great at accomodating special requests. The wine list has some nice selections we enjoy and don't usually see on most restaurant lists. The markup is reasonable, as well. The bar area is small, but they're also known for their signature drinks. It's a cool place to hang out while you're waiting for a table. They also sell fish and shellfish at the bar area for those that prefer to "fix their own".
